My name is Val Moore. I have been a quilter for over 30 years. For several years I ran a quilting patchwork and quilting shop in Sydney, Australia. Opening in in 1981, it was one of the first shops of it's kind in Sydney.
I now teach various aspects of quilting in many locations throughout Australia, specialising in hand and machine applique techniques. My students' quilts have won awards at each of the prestigeous Darling Harbour Sydney Quilt Shows over the last ten years.
I teach classes for developing and making all my quilts. Based mainly on floral themes, my quilts reflect my interest in botanical art. The designs are mainly on floral themes, my quilts reflect my interest in botanical art.
My latest work is the Wild and Woolley Hexagon Quilt which is featured on this site.
Many of my other quilts are displayed on the Gallery page. Be sure to see my Australian Wildflower, Tantalising Tiles and Enchanted Garden in the Gallery.
